Click on the marker corresponding to the desired starting point
. The step-by-step procedure is modified accordingly. You can also reverse the path by clicking the icon

Download the kml file of the route. If it does not open automatically with GoogleEarth, save it and open it from the application. Zoom in on the map for details and save a larger map image at strategic points (Edit > Copy Image). You can save these images to your mobile phone for later use. On Android phones with GPS, you can use the Geo Tracker application, import the kml file, view it with different zooms to cache the map and have it available without a Wifi connection.
To print the map of a footpath, you must have a screenshot application. One of the best applications for screenshots may be Snagit.
A simple solution is to enlarge the map by clicking on the icon, then use the "print" key. This copies what is on the screen to the clipboard. Then open an image editing application (e.g. photoshop) open a new document and paste the clipboard into it. Then you can edit this document and print it with your printer. There are many screenshot complements, but they don't work very well on the map zoomed.
